Group of the undergraduates studying GGL at the School of Public Policy will join the new exchange programme in a couple of weeks. The competition for having a single semester of study at Leiden University, Netherlands, won the four — Muhammad Nazarov, Georgiy Novikov, Nikita Suharev and Arseniy Filyakin.

The School of Public Policy, RANEPA, has a broad international partnership network. In the list of more than 30 most significant universities of the world which we cooperate with, there’s Leiden University housing in two separate campuses — in Leiden and Hague, Netherlands. Leiden University has 109 QS international rate and postulate “Libertatis Praesidium” (“Bastion of Freedom” if using English to translate Latin) as a motto. LU and the SPP recently designed the academic exchange programme for undergraduates. The coming exchange “session’ will last for a single semester.

“We strive to select only goal oriented, hardworking individuals, having the highest level of motivation. For the exchange programme is not just a pleasant journey with a bit of study in between deriving joy from all around. It is a very serious and demanding campaign focused on intensive learning and gaining new skills and experience being put into the other cultural context. The best combo one can get while studying,” Deputy Director of the School of Public Policy and Management Alexey Verbetsky noticed.

Leiden University has more than four-century history. This university is a member of the Coimbra Group, the Europaeum and the League of European Research Universities. LU alumni list contains the names of the 6th President of the USA John Quincy Adams, a Secretary General of NATO, a Prime Minister of the United Kingdom and Albert Einstein as well.

The international exchange programme connecting Leiden University and the School of Public Policy is a strong cooperation line drawn to mutually enrich educational practices and advance scope of skills that the participating students get while studying.
