Russian Language and Culture 12th July to 1st August 2020

This summer school is designed for non-native speakers of Russian to develop their communication skills, explore the unique aspects of Russian culture and enjoy multicultural exchange at the new environment.

The programme consists of lectures, seminars and workshops which allow students to implement Russian language in a variety of settings.

All students will take part in the cultural programme and field trips, which will give students a better understanding of Russian culture. This includes day trip to old Russian town Kolomna and its famous Marshmallow Plant and Marshmallow Museum which were founded by the MSSES alumni.


This School is one of the best way to make the most of your Summer.

FEE AND COSTS

Duration: 12 July – 1 August (3 weeks)

Fee: 1 500 USD per person

Fee includes:

·         Russian Language Intensive Course: 25 hours / week

·         3 excursions + day trip to Kolomna town

·         Transfer from and to the airport

·         Study materials

·         Visa support (invitation letter)

Additional costs:

The School offers excurtions around Moscow city center and a 1-day trip to Kolomna town.

Kolomna town

KEY FACTS

  • Kolomna, located 100 km from Moscow, is an old Russian town first mentioned in the 12th
  • The beautifully preserved fragment of the rampart and seven towers of the Kolomna Kremlin are worth a visit.
  • Of great interest is Kolomna’s Assumption Cathedral founded in the 14th
  • When strolling around the town, you can take in the view of numerous well-preserved, picturesque and cozy houses that are all different from one another.
  • Kolomna’s Marshmallow Plant and Marshmallow Museum are definitely worth a glance.
