  • The programme is delivered in collaboration with the Russian Presidential Academy RANEPA on a prestigious Prechistenka campus in the center of Moscow. The collaboration has been going on for over 20 years now and is one of the longest-running partnerships between UK and one of the top Russian universities. We have over 1100 alumni who graduated from various Kingston University-RANEPA joint programmes and over 100 graduates from IHRM Programme itself.
  • An international curriculum along with School and staff collaborations worldwide ensure the programme is globally relevant.
  • Comprehensive HR coverage. The program covers all aspects of International HRM.
  • ‘Theory into Practice’ approach. Both academic and practitioners co-teaching all modules, thus providing a good balance between academic as well as practitioner perspectives. During the International week, students visit companies and their HR departments thus applying knowledge into practice.
  • IHRM Masters is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and Moscow campus is a CIPD Approved Centre since 2011. CIPD International HRM Masters 2 
  • On successful completion of the programme, students are eligible for Kingston Diploma Master of Science in IHRM, approved by CIPD, which is an equivalent of Advanced Level Diploma. The programme provides all of the underpinning knowledge required for CIPD professional membership (Associate Member) for which students are eligible after receiving CIPD Advanced Level Diploma.

Graduation/Alumni
The graduation ceremonies take place every July at the British Ambassador’s Residence in Moscow and are attended by both the Vice-Chancellor of Kingston University and British Ambassador to Russia. These ceremonies are very special occasions for graduates and their families and friends. Every October Alumni Re-union at the British Ambassadors’ Residence is organised for all Russian alumni from Kingston programmes. These events are attended by over 200 alumni and are great opportunities for networking. Plenty of networking opportunities not only with IHRM students and alumni but also Kinston EMBA &MBA students and alumni during social events, parties, seminars and guest lectures in Moscow as well as during the International Week in London.

PROCESS

Welcome Session and Induction
This is an important element of the programme designed to introduce students to the Kingston Business School resources, staff and fellow students in a welcoming environment. The course ethos, expectations and vehicles for learning are explored, and the elements of Human Resource Management are introduced in order to establish a framework for the acquisition of theory later on in the programme.

Lecturers
  • All module leaders, responsible for content generation, module design and revision, are Ph.D., and all are publishing in the area of their expertise
  • Theory into practice. All modules are co-taught by academics with the Ph.D. degree, most of them are ex-practitioners in various HRM and HRD roles with over 20 years of experience, and practitioners
  • Kingston University lecturers have substantial experience running CIPD and Masters courses and extensive research experience
  • Highly experienced HR practitioners, CIPD consultants, and coaches
  • Majority of our lecturers are CIPD Academic or Chartered Members and Fellows
  • Guest lectures by other academics and business leaders. These are either Kingston University academics and HR practitioners or business leaders from the UK as well as Russia. Topics range from HR specific areas to broader business areas and their implications for HR.
Support
Dedicated support
Students will be assigned a personal academic supervisor to guide them through the Management research report. Subject tutors are also on hand to provide guidance on specific modules.

The course director and course administrator,
based in Moscow will help with general academic and administrative issues and liaise with students and organizations.
The Kingston University course director is based in London.

Online support
Flexible learning is made easier by Kingston's online StudySpace learning system. This innovative system means students can communicate easily with staff and course colleagues through bulletin boards and discussion groups.

Learning Materials
Through the StudySpace learning system, students access i-cat electronic library and databases. They will be provided with all basic textbooks per each module, as well as handouts,
cases, study materials.


Assessments
Individual and group exercises, computer-based tasks, presentations, role plays, case studies, essays and reports, mock exam, unseen examination, management report. Kingston Business School aims to foster a supportive study environment to help students to successfully meet the challenges of the programme and achieve students’ academic and professional goals.

Case Studies
During most teaching blocks students work in small groups on cases. Starting 2013 ‘live cases’ were introduced, which were overall very successful where HR managers from the real international companies are invited to present students with the issues and problems their companies face in real world and give students feedback after their presentations.


TUITION

The tuition fee includes all lectures, tutorials, seminars and laboratory sessions; various in-house course manuals and study packs, one-to-one supervision during the Management report phase of the programme; access to the University’s Learning Resources Centre, Student’s Study space, and Library facilities. Bursaries cover up to 20% of the fee. 

The total cost consists of Kingston fee and RANEPA fee. 


I. The Kingston fee is GBP 7200 and is paid directly to Kingston in GBP

PAYMENT PLAN: 
— Payment of 100% fees upfront attracts a 10% discount;
— Payment in installments:
• Half the fees in Yr 1 (GBP 3600) and the other half (GBP 3600) in Yr 2;
• Payment in smaller installments for individuals only:
For each year, 50% of fees (GBP 1800) to be paid on enrolment (September) and then in 6 monthly installments.

II. The RANEPA fee is RUR 520 000 and is paid in RUR to RANEPA.

PAYMENT PLAN:
• Payment of 100% fees upfront attracts a 10% discount
• Half of the fee (RUR 260 000) is paid Yr 1 and the other half (RUR 260 000) in Year 2;
• For each year, 50% of fees (RUR 130 000) to be paid on enrolment but not later than September 2017 (2018) and then in December 2017 (2018)

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

In addition to satisfying the entry requirements, candidates must be able to demonstrate their motivation and ability to work at postgraduate level. Students need to be well prepared, self-disciplined and able to manage their time and workload effectively.
  • a good honors degree from a university or an equivalent qualification from a recognized higher education provider;
     
  • at least four years' managerial experience in middle/senior HR and/or line management, including participation in appropriate training events
     
  • good command of spoken and written English at:
    — IELTS overall score of 6.5 with no element below 6.0,
    — TOEFL score of 90 with no element below 20/30.

    If no formal evidence of English competence,
    candidates will take an English test at RANEPA
    and will be interviewed in English.
